Power of Breath Practice

Sit in a comfortable position. Spread your fingers wide and bring your wrists, thumbs and pinky fingers together to form a flower. Inhale through your nose as if smelling the flower and exhale by blowing the flower slowly. Complete this for a cycle of five minutes. Continue to focus on your breath and what you can observe through your senses. Notice if any judgements arise and if they do, just observe them and recommit to your breath.


Why do we do it?

We often undervalue the power of breath. Breathing mindfully gives us the ability to influence other aspects of our nervous system.

  • Blood pressure

  • Stress response

  • Brain state

  • Mood

  • Immune system

  • Energy levels
